Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz
Book by Roger O. Hirson
Directed by Jon Reimer
May 13-16, 2010
Theater Sun-mall, Shinjuku
Join us for this dark reinvention of the captivating and scintillating Bob Fosse musical. An anecdotic revue by a band of mysterious traveling performers presents the story of Pippin, a young prince in Charlemagne’s France on a quest to find complete and utter fulfillment for his life. Confronting intrigue, humor, romance, illusions, battles, and ultimately a climax - ladies and gentlemen, a climax justly famous throughout the civilized world - will the extraordinary Pippin determine what really matters most in life?
Full of iconic songs and dances of the musical theatre such as "Magic to Do," "Simple Joys," "I Guess I'll Miss the Man," "Morning Glow," and "Corner of the Sky," as well as a compelling coming-of-age story, this show is sure to speak to the hearts and minds of world travelers and adventurers, young and old.
Featuring a tremendous troupe of Tokyo talent: Jeremy Trigsted, Gemma Nokes, Ra Weir, Kathleen Gerard, Danielle Brown, Ron Scott, Paul Tempel, Brian Berdanier, Andres Clarke, Ken Endo, Kanon Hewitt, Juna Hewitt, Lou McLeod, Rika Wakasugi, Stacy Powell, Meg Igarashi, Sorcha Chisholm, Carey Storin, Richard Schwartz, Daniel Tyrie, Sonja Inge, Akira Sorimachi, Patty McManus, Tom Brown, Itsuko Scott, E, Asuka Sorimachi, Emi Haskell, Dale Haskell, Lauren Cullen, Kelly Haavaldsrud, and introducing Andy Kukowski as Pippin.
