Design TIP's new logo and win some great prizes!

Due to popular demand, we've extended our deadline for the TIP logo contest!
Calling all designers! TIP is getting a facelift! We are looking to update and modernize our current logo, and you might be just the person to do it! If you are professional, amateur, or simply dabble as a hobby, why not use your designing or artistic skills and help change the face of TIP…and win a fantastic prize in the process!

The new logo MUST:
-include the full name of the organization and its acronym – “Tokyo
International Players” and “TIP" (Both the full name and the acronym should be prominent and easily read)
-include "est. 1896"
-immediately be recognizable as a theatre group/organization

PRIZE (to be conferred upon the designer of the winning logo)*:
-Overnight accommodation for two people at The Strings Hotel in Shinagawa: http://www.intercontinental-strings.jp/english/index.html(inclusive of a Deluxe room, a full buffet breakfast, and a late checkout of 14:00)
-2 tickets to "Pippin", TIP’s May 2010 musical
-Season Pass for 2 people to TIP’s 114th season (2010-2011)
-An almost 100,000 JPY value!!!
*To be decided by the TIP Board. The TIP Board reserves the right to consider or decline any submission.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION
Preferred media format: CD or DVD
Along with the disk please provide two (2) acceptable proofs and contact information (name, phone number, mailing address, and email address). Disks will not be returned unless requested.
Please make sure of the following:
- All files are in CMYK color mode.
-All spot colors have been converted to CMYK.
-Any image incorporated must have an effective resolution of at least 300 dpi.
Preferred file format for submission: Hi-Res PDF/X-1a or a Press Ready PDF (CMYK/300 dpi images).
Alternate file formats accepted: Adobe CS2 (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
-The winner must ultimately provide an Adobe CS2-formatted Vector file.
-Logos created in an unacceptable format will need to be resubmitted.
-All submissions must be edited if requested for further eligibility.
Incorporated image requirements: All images should be final, color-corrected, hi-resolution (300 dpi) CMYK files. TIFF or EPS file type recommended. Hi-res images should not be scaled more than 115% to maintain image quality.
Two (2) sets of proofs should be provided.
-Proofs should be 100% size with cropmarks.

Deadline for submission is March 1st, 2010. Winner will be contacted in March.
