About the Event

Ace the Audition: Monologues

Unleash your potential in the world of theater with our winter workshop series!

First up: Monologues with Jonah Hagans.

Monologues provide some of the most exciting, intimate moments in live theater. However, they can also be a source of stress for performers, not least because they are often seen as a "necessary evil" in the audition process. Join us for a transformative experience that will equip actors with essential solo performance skills and empower them to conquer audition anxiety. Our comprehensive two-day program provides the tools, confidence, and support you need to shine onstage and culminates in the opportunity for a mock audition/presentation with feedback from industry experts!

When: December 10th (Part 1) and 17th (Part 2) from 2-6PM

Where: Our Space, Hatagaya

Cost: ¥8000 for two sessions

Maximum participants: 12

A comedic, serious, or classical monologue that you want to work on. The monologue should be 2-4 minutes in length and should come from a published play or musical. There's no need to memorize the monologue for Part 1; however, you should allot time to memorize and rehearse between Part 1 and Part 2. If you need help choosing an appropriate monologue, contact the instructor via the email link below.
