This event has concluded. TIP's staged reading of Constellations was a sell-out success thanks to you! We appreciate your support of Tokyo theater!
Tokyo International Players (TIP) is proud to present a staged reading of CONSTELLATIONS by Nick Payne, directed by Xander Coleman.
The two-person cast features TIP favorites Nicolas Gregoriades and Kate Prior. The production team includes lighting designer Jun Woo Hwang, with stage management by Joan Chen. Strict prevention protocols for COVID-19 will be in place at the performance venue, including vaccination and mask requirements for audience members; see our website for details.
What is a staged reading? Quite simply, it is theater in its purest form: actors, directors, and scripts, with minimal "bells and whistles" to distract from the text itself. Some or all stage directions may be read aloud. Sets, costumes, and lighting effects are reduced to the barest essential. It is perhaps closest in form to a radio play or audiobook, performed for a live audience!
