With the ongoing fascination with celebrity and the cult of personality in our social-media-obsessed world, EVITA stands out as a musical for the modern age. In the show, a smart, savvy woman rises to upper echelons to become the biggest of stars, only to have her legacy cut short with her early death. An already bare-stage musical, this production will go even further in order to highlight how Eva Perón’s dazzling splendor was crafted by her and everyone around her, creating the icon we know today.

Tokyo International Players is an all-volunteer organization. Proceeds from ticket sales go toward funding future productions, purchasing necessary supplies, and other operational costs such as rent for storage space in which we keep set pieces and costumes.
